Brian Eno new offering is a software disc that uses the screen of your computer or television to create a constantly evolving
painting. The painting is generated from hand-made slides that are randomly combined by the computer using specially develped software so that one image is never relayed twice - we love him! Read more!

I have been checking the archives of the ICA website and stumbled on a podcast by Chris Anderson from Wired magazine chatting about his book 'The Long Tail' plus other bits & pieces. The website has been revamped and is far more absorbing - nice work. Read more!

Food for thought

There is a short passage from a book I read a while ago by Jon Steel called ‘Truth. Lies & Advertising’ that I thought I'd post - it’s actually a quoted passage from a the book by Norman MacLean ‘ The River Runs Through It’, it goes like this:

He said, “They are feeding on drowned yellow stone flies.”
I asked him, “How did you think that out?”
He thought back on what had happened like a reporter;
He started to answer, shook his head when he found he was wrong, and then started out again. “All there is to thinking,” he said, “is seeing something noticeable which makes you see something you weren’t noticing which makes you see something that isn’t even visible”.

So it's started...'it's' being this, my thoughts.
I'll be tapping away exposing my inner most sanctum, things that are appealing to me in this grand old world of ours - alsorts of delights whether it be interactive proactive inactive, pictures, stills - photography of mine, grafitti on walls, news interpretation, that cool range of clothes by Paul & Joe, what's cooking at the ICA, Onedotzero, Resfest, fresh work, music to check, interesting art, interesting2007, new work in adland, unconventional, conventional name it what you like, observations..."does that ad work, what's it trying to say" kinda stuff- just every day bits & pieces that make me tick, what I'm reading, should read, have read, movies that pulled at my heart, changed perceptions, exposed me - I'll be posting all up here in some shape or form.
May take a little time to get up to speed with all the amalgamation aspects of blog life, tags, links, images and whatnot but should be rockin' and rolling in no time. Read more!
